Author For the second year in succession Fairworld exhibited the Grand Champion Ram at the annual Bathurst Show.

After an absence of 15 years we decided to sell rams at the yearly Smaldeel Fine Wool Sale. Although we had the disadvantage of selling last on the catalogue, we not only fetched the highest price of R8500.00 but we also ended up with the highest average.

The 18th annual sale went very much the same as the previous years sale with no outrages prices but still maintaining a very good average. The top ram went to Jeff Hobson & Pyp Lombaard for R10,000.00.

Fairworld made a clean sweep at the annual Bathurst Show by exhibiting the Grand Champion Ram as well as the winners in the 8-tooth, 6-tooth, Group of 3 rams and also the floating trophy for the best wool on the show.

The 17th annual sale were up from last year, but still very much in line with the current wool prices. The top ram was again snapped up by Koos Smit of Carolina for R8000.00.
